So this is my final project for teens inspired, "This is Bjoyrnoya". It was inspired by the artwork in the in the NC Art Museum Collection called "Man Under Tree". It was painted by Benjamin Kopman in 1943. The tree and landscape had unusual and unnatural colors that made it seem pretty. It inspired me to draw a landscape and color it with a different color scheme and texture. I chose a real life island called Bjornoya or Bear Island. It's north of the Coast of Norway and heavily resembles the isle of Berk in How to Train Your Dragon, so that "bird" may or may not be a dragon. I tried to choose as many different colors as possible such as red for the water, brown for the sky, purple/blue for the grass, and green for the rocky areas, making it very Dr. Seuss-esque. Overall, I really like the output of this.
